Wait a minuet…there’s nothing green about styrofoam. True, but I still love what light looks like when it passes through. This idea may not be suitable in a sustainable way for mass production, but just making one to experiment with is O.K., right?
The thing that I’m exploring is how to capture light inside a structure as it bounces around inside, and then shoot that light out through small cracks. Glass and acrylics do not trap light as well as paper and styrofoam. I don’t want to see any structural elements- just lines of light.
